ASSP Nigeria Chapter Celebrates Members Honored as ISPON Fellows

American Society of Safety Professionals Nigeria Chapter proudly celebrates four of our distinguished members and past presidents — Daniel Osadiaye, Herbert Nwaka, Dapo Omolade, Prof Amaka Cynthia Obiora and Dr. Nesiama Omatseyione — who were each conferred with the prestigious title of Fellow by the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON). This remarkable recognition took place during the 38th Annual Professional Development Conference (PDC) and Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ISPON, held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on 10th October 2025.

The Fellowship Award represents one of the highest professional honors within the safety profession in Nigeria. It acknowledges exceptional leadership, technical excellence, and outstanding contributions to the advancement of occupational health, safety, and environmental practice in Nigeria and beyond.

As past presidents and dedicated members of ASSP Nigeria Chapter, Daniel Osadiaye, Herbert Nwaka, Dapo Omolade, Prof Amaka Cynthia Obiora and Dr. Nesiama Omatseyione have each made lasting impacts — from pioneering HSE initiatives and mentoring the next generation of professionals, to strengthening collaboration between ASSP and ISPON in the pursuit of safer workplaces.

Their recognition as ISPON Fellows is a proud moment not just for them individually, but for the entire ASSP Nigeria Chapter community. It reflects the Chapter’s continued tradition of excellence, professionalism, and leadership within the safety profession.

We congratulate these distinguished professionals on this well-deserved honor and celebrate their dedication to promoting safety culture, professional development, and the protection of lives across all industries.

Congratulations once again, our esteemed Fellows — you make us proud!
